My tribute to all those great retired Greyhounds out there resting on sofas and fluffy pillow! I went to the races fully prepared to hate every minute of the trip... and unfortunately the second race I witnessed, a dog fell and broke his leg. My husband was rushing this "dog person" out the door with the fear I would exploded but quite the opposite was happening. This dog was not reacting to the pain, he was still after "Barney"... And I learned a lesson about desire and wanting to do what your instincts say... a lesson I use for myself. Yes there are stopping blocks, yes there are times I can't complete my mission, but I have an innate desire to tell these dogs stories and I do on paper.
This original watercolor was completed in 2012 and the painting is 9" x 2". It will arrive framed in a white 2" mat in a 14" x 7" natural wood blond frame.
